How does it work?

UV Radiation is divided into UVA rays and UVB rays:

• UVA rays lead to Aging
• UVB rays lead to Burning

The SPF rating tells you how much UVB protection you have.

SPF50 means it will take you 50 times as long to burn in the sun compared to if you hadn’t worn any sunblock at all. In practice, reapply at least every two hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel drying.

Titanium Dioxide works primarily as a mineral UV filter, helping to protect the skin by absorbing, scattering and reflecting ultraviolet radiation. It is particularly effective against UVB and shorter UVA wavelengths, which makes it useful for helping prevent sunburn and UV-related skin damage.

Zinc Oxide is also a mineral UV filter, but it provides broader-spectrum protection across both UVA and UVB wavelengths. It is especially valued for its strong UVA coverage and generally good skin tolerance, making it suitable for formulations designed for sensitive or pigmentation-prone skin.

Used together, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide can complement each other by providing more balanced broad-spectrum UV protection. Why is it good for skin of colour?

A matte, tinted mineral sunscreen with Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide is an excellent choice for Skin of Colour, combining high-level broad-spectrum protection with a finish designed to look better on deeper skin tones.

The tint helps reduce the white or ashy cast often associated with mineral sunscreens, while the matte texture helps control excess shine and leaves oily or acne-prone skin looking smoother and more refined.

Directions & Restrictions

Shake well before each use. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.

After cleansing in the morning, apply your moisturiser and allow it to dry for a few seconds. Then dispense ¼ to ½ teaspoons of T-Zincable onto the back of your hand, then dot evenly across your face. Gently blend into a uniform layer.

Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours during daylight exposure, and immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel-drying.

LAYERING: If you are applying other products in conjunction, T-Zincable should be the last layer, to give you maximum protection.

We recommend a wide-brimmed hat and your Dr V Anti Melasma Sunglasses for additional protection.

STORAGE: Store in a cool dry place at room temperature. Keep away from heat & sunlight. Keep in a bag or under a towel when in the sun. Do not place heavy items on top of bottle to avoid product wastage when reopened.

Use within 6 months of opening for the product to remain in optimal condition. Discard product within 12 months of opening.

WARNING - Only apply on normal, clean skin, not if cracked. In the very rare event of irritation, spots or any skin reaction, please discontinue use and contact your doctor if required.

WHEN STARTING A NEW ROUTINE, PATCH TEST IN A DISCREET AREA AND BUILD UP USAGE GRADUALLY OVER 2-3 WEEKS, ADDING A NEW PRODUCT EVERY 2-3 DAYS SO THE SKIN ADJUSTS.

Common Product FAQs

1. Is T-Zincable water resistant?

It is not classified as ‘water resistant’ but will still work in water and just needs to be reapplied immediately after.

We advise that even ‘water resistant’ labelled sunblock should be reapplied after the skin is immersed in water.

2. Is T-Zincable safe to use whilst pregnant or nursing?

Yes, expectant and nursing mums can use Inzincable. Mineral UV filters are commonly chosen during pregnancy; consult a healthcare professional where appropriate.

3. Can children use T-Zincable?

Yes, it is considered safe for children from the age of 2.

4. Can I apply InZincable on the body and under the eyes?

Yes, it can be applied on all normal skin anywhere on the body, except for lips.

If it causes sensitivity, avoid application on eyelids or close enough to the eye that it could seep into it.

5. Will T-Zincable stop me from tanning?

All sunscreens will limit tanning to some extent, but not completely.

6. Will using T-Zincable limit the amount of Vitamin D I get?

All sunscreens reduce UVB radiation getting to the skin, theoretically reducing Vitamin D production. However, in practice, Vitamin D production should still continue, as all UVB radiation is not blocked 100%.

7. What is the shelf-life?

Max. 12 months from opening, but ideally use within 6 months for best condition.

8. Is it gluten-free/vegan/halal?

It is gluten-free and has no animal or animal-derived ingredients.

How to choose the right shade?

T-Zincable shades are designed to be flexible and adapt across a range of skin tones. If your complexion looks similar to one of the models shown, that shade is likely to be a good match for you.

Your ideal shade may change throughout the year, just as your foundation colour can look different between seasons. For example, Dr V wears Medium in winter and Tan in summer.

For the best year-round match, we recommend purchasing two shades so you can switch between them, or blend them, as your skin tone changes.
